We had been looking forward to the month of September!!

Nothing is more loved when your boyfriend helps you dig your ear when yours are itchy!

Bee came over my place for dinner after his meet-up project session with his classmates... And out of the sudden, he surprised me with a bag from Pandora!

He actually wanted to only give it to me on our 9th year 10 monthsary which is few days later but I think he can't hold his excitement and presented it to me that day :)

What a presence surprise!!!! =D

I did told him before that it's an unnecessary expenses to spent on Pandora..  

I don't really understand why a small chain like that can cost up to hundred ~ thousands.

People can really spent hundreds of dollar in the shop which sounds really ridiculous! 

But anyway, I'm still very pleased to receive it from him ;)

He told me......  "Every girls has one, you deserved one too, it really suits you!".

Super sweet! 

He picked my first chain which I thought..... very nice!!

4th September 2013 - THE DAY HAS COME!

Seeing our friends one by one getting their own lovenest...... It's finally our turn to head down HDB to select our unit which also marks our monthsary :) Double Joy! What a good month to start off and also one of the best anniversary gift to us! Can't be happier in owning your own Home with your other half :)

As you can see.... our Queue no. is very back behind! #godblessus

It doesn't comes easy... This is our 4th application before we finally decided to settle down on this. Previously applied 3 times around Sengkang/Punggol/Buangkok estate but we ended up rejecting all of our chances due to the fact that by the time of our selection date, either there isn't much "good" choice left or the one we wanted has been "taken". Not that we're being picky but we felt that after all, it's gonna be our first Home together, putting all our money into this nest and alot of commitments, we cannot just anyway settle on anyone just because we got a SHIT queue no.

 All our 4 applications balloted Queue no. has excess the amount of units provided by HDB so our chances are very very low compared to the rest. This is so unfair to couple like us who plans to start a family and wanted a flat of our own but wasn't given a chance just because of the stupid balloting queue no.!

I believed having a good Queue no. plays a very important part. Is either you get a good Q no. or else better not get any! If your no. is good, you get to select your ideal area you wanted (e.g closer to MRT/LRT, scenery view etc...), Fungshui (if you're superstitious), directions of the wind, Block, Storey, Unit is all within your means. But if your no. is terrible like us, we can only hoped for the best. To be honest, we only started to sit down and really plan & discuss 2 weeks before our given Selection Date. Because we knew our no. are pretty back behind, no point looking and discussing which to take. That will only lead us to sadness & disappointment the moment we login to HDB website and found out that the unit we aimed is taken! It happened many times until we got so fed up!

Well, I think all these are fated, I kept telling myself probably god doesn't want us to have that area and everything happens for a reason. We have friends who ladyluck is on them, got really good Queue no. and this is their first time applying BTO! Happy for them but really felt sad for us..............

By the time they've gone down to select their unit, we're still painfully & anxiously & praying hard no one chose the unit we aimed hahaha!

Location is quite convenience, about 10min walk to Compass Point. One good point is, it is located in between our parents home :) Next time can ride bicycle go back visit them hahaha!

Thinking of still be able to stay near parents next time really makes me feel safe. Our future kids can be well-taken care of too by them! :)

Making our final decision on our selection!

We managed to secure the block/unit we wanted! YEAHHHHH!!! It's damn scary especially the last few days to your selection date. The feeling it's like so near yet so far! One out of so many applicants fighting for a unit! One moment it's vacant, another moment it's gone.. So we have to constantly checking the website for updates. I even saved the link as my Favourites in my phone LOL ;p

Actually our final choice is a very last minute decision when we were there on the actual day looking at the flat model. Evenually, the unit we had been eyeing on has only left highest Level 9 downwards. All along if we've the choice, we preferred living in a higher storey (Highest is Level 15), so we changed our mind when we saw another unit from the same Block has Level 12 which has even better view with sunlight and more privacy than the earlier on unit that we chose!

Honestly, there isn't much for us to choose but we count ourselves lucky for getting Level 12 even with a shit Q no. :)

Back to how it goes..... After registering our ticket number, we went for our lunch while constantly refreshing the link on our phone, monitoring just in case the applicants before us chose the one we aimed LOL! Super kang chiong I tell you! After lunch, we went back HDB to look through the floor tiles and all.. We chose not to get any of those HDB provided in the end.

Waited awhile before our number are being called! Excitedly when in to meet the officer in charge... The feeling of going through the signing papers is damn high!!!! Heart beating!!!! Especially when the officer asked us which unit we want, we told her and asked if it's still available. She said Yes, confirmed it's ours!!! Handed her our necessary relevant documents and the moment she passed us our Confirmation Letter in owning this flat, our mouth just can't stop smiling widely lor.... Hahahahaha!!

At that moment, we felt like an "adult" signing those documents!

This marks a new beginning of our life. A lovenest which is truly ours. We've been applying BTO since last May till now, 1 year already... Almost losing faith... BUT FINALLY!! We simply can't wait for it to build in 3 - 4 years time!!! Need to save money for our renovation & marriage!!

Waiting for our next appointment believed to be in December/January :)

Right now, HDB has started their job by doing the piling! YEAHHH!!

I've been wanting to get a new chain (A shape of a house) after I joining the Pandora group!

Obvious reason of getting the chain, a very meaningful chain indeed :)

However, I'm still amazed how a small chain can cost so costly!
