18th February 2015 - Reunion Dinner

 

Reunion dinner with my ah ma & Xiao ku over at our place. Usually we will eat out on this day but this year special, deciding to do steamboat at home haha. The ambience is more relaxing and we could take our own sweet time to eat and not rush off for the next slot So I can foresee next year onwards we will do the same only if we found somewhere good.

 

My parents prepared a spread of ingredients for the steamboat. My fav has gotta be the hakkaido scallops we got from Giant the other day at a steal!

19th February 2015 - DAY 1

 

Like every other year, our house is the HQ where all relatives will come over for the yearly gathering. Woke up early to help up in the kitchen. I'm in charge of the frying stuff haha! It was so stressful for my mom & I cuz we're like always rushing for the time to finish cooking all the dishes before our guest arrived. But every year, confirm got someone will arrived earlier than the timeframe said. No choice lor, give them a drink and sit down entertain themselves first haha!

This year's CNY is pretty quiet coz my cousins left rather early after lunch. Sucha pity we didn't catch up much :( It's the first time we didn't even gamble!

 

 

Spent the quiet afternoon with my ah ma, xiaoku, er ku & her hubby... before Bee came over after his visiting.

Don't you just love my cheongsam?

 

I've received numbers of compliments from my aunties and friends asking me where I got it from after I posted it up on FB haha! Even Bee commented that he likes me in this cheongsam and he thinks it's the nicest dress I wore during this CNY.

 

Got it from Love & Bravery online for about $40 and sent it for alteration as it's too big and shapeless on me even though I bought it in the smallest size S! Costed me $25 for the job (got it 2 months ago but stupid me didn't send it for alteration but only sent it just 1 week before CNY hence the steep price). No choice coz not many shop wanna accept job for this kind of cheongsam material and those who can, can only deliver it after CNY. Lucky for me, I managed to find an aunty whose able to get it done for me within a few days before CNY, she's specialize in sewing cheongsam. So I'm safe!

Total damaged: $65 but it's all worth it la after all the compliments I received hehe! Somemore the workmanship and quality is damn solid! My aunty thought I went to MTM (made-to-measure). LOL!

20th February 2015 - DAY 2

 

Met a new friend, Bruce! Super cute & obedient! I've already gotten Bee's approval on getting a puppy in our future home next year haha!

 

 

After visiting Laokim, we drove to Hougang to tabao roasted duck (side dish) for dinner at our place!

 

 

Steamboat for dinner!

 

Steamboat is the easiest to prepare! Wash, cut and throw all ingredients into the soup for it to cook and can eat already! Easy peasy!

 

 

After dinner, Bee came over and pick me up for our midnight movie, "Kingsmen". Nice show!

21st February 2015 - DAY 3

 

Spent the day at Bee's aunt place and also to celebrate Eunice's Birthday. Happy Birthday!

22nd February 2015 - DAY 4

My favorite part of every CNY is receiving hongbaos and counting how much I got hahahaha! Not bad ah enough to cover for our upcoming BKKk trip next Friday! Yay! Time for some shopping and I'm such getting a pair of Melissa shoe from there.. Well, since it's cheap I'll make it 2 pairs!

Gonna cherish next year's hongbao receiving before becoming a MRS a month later and then giving out hongbao from 2017 onwards for the rest of our life :( Boo~

 

 

 

Got back from office on Tuesday after a long break and first thing I saw was an hongbao from my new boss! He's damn cute lah placed it on my desk like not scare ppl might take it lol! Seems like this year will be a smooth year for me lah! Hee! It's the thought that counts!

This month seems to pass damn fast. 3 more days to payday again! Not that I'm complaining haha! Also went to deposit my hongbao $$$ into my bank account this morning! HUAT AH!

March is arriving which means we're left with about 1 year more to our Big day!!! I'm still taking my own sweet time to decide on our AD photo & videography. There're so many choices but sometimes it's quite hard to stick to our budget. Which is why I took longer time to think it though..

Been looking thru pinterest & other website for inspiration for my dessert corner! I somehow already have something in mind so probably I will get down to buy some materials to DIY first and then see the end product before I decide on doing the real thing for the Actual day. Everything also need money leh! Never really know the importance of money until when we decided to settle down and everything is about money money MONEY!

 

Well, I'm pretty excited for a new month to come coz we will be having a parents meeting session to discuss about our wedding tables and stuff.. So hopefully both families will get along well lah.. Can't wait for everything to fall into places and see the end product! Also can't wait to book the venue ASAP and see the venue space before I decide on what theme I really wanted and then start on my DIY!

Don't wanna be a bridezilla for sure!
